Lizzy Sampson is a multidisciplinary, mostly visual artist. She practices collaboratively and as a solo artist, and her works span visual and experimental art forms. These art forms have included online databases, writing, performance, wood whittling, video, mapping, walking, word-play, artist books and zines, installation, photography, painting and a participatory supper club event.

Themes in Lizzy’s work include consumption, economies, public service, work, energy, exchange, localisation, bureaucracy, ownership, environment, movement, stillness and more recently, the politics of care relating to parenting in the arts. Sometimes Lizzy’s work evolves from a research practice based on site or theme, other times it is practice-led, process based or informed by particular materials.
