Public Notice was made for the project Penpals; Post Conversation. The project, initiated by Coalesce ARI involved a 6-month exchange of letters and ideas between artists in Melbourne, New York and Hong Kong. Through letters with my pen pal, Gloria Yip (Hong Kong), we discovered a shared concern regarding the growth of consumerism, in both our respective cities. Public Notice responded directly to the site at Lonsdale street, where the redevelopment of MYER will result in a $1.6 billion shopping complex.
